I think if the 4th Industrial revolution was not phasing out most jobs it would be a great thing. The fact that most things will be done by machines and people nolonger work makes it look a whole lot complicated.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Kgabo and I personally feel that this will lead this country back into unemployment; poverty; and more, because it's more like businesses only want to look after themselves and not the communities they operate in but instead chasing after being ahead with time as technology is always advancing. It's never a bad thing to keep up with times but specific measures and policies should be created; followed and applied, that will support people and not only businesses.

ReplyDeletePersonally as a computer engineer in software engineering I think that the fourth industrial revolution doesn't really show a disadvantage in the sense that the computer science is there only to make the daily routine of the human while simplifying certain aspects. I am partially against the fact that you say the robotics, virtual reality or artificial intelligence increase unemployment in Africa. Actually, most African countries are full of exploitative, productive, and other companies. And without robotics or virtualization, they will have a hard time getting their finished products, but it doesn't mean that the contribution of humans is annihilated. For example, oil companies or mining companies still need the presence of humans despite of those mechanics machines(robotics) they possess.
